The Last Bookstore – Downtown LA

No, this isn’t the start of a real life “Fahrenheit 451”, this is an actual bookstore in DTLA (Downtown LA).

What’s so special about a bookstore?

Okay, so it is a bookstore, in an old building. In fact, from the outside it looks more like it should be called the first bookstore … ever. But go up to the 2nd floor and you’ll appreciate the art and the decor.

Admission is free. Kids love it, and the location is perfect for strolling around. Downtown LA has many restaurants and bars that you can hit up while you’re in the area.

Art like this yarn-weaved man next to me, can be found on the 2nd floor.

This visit won’t tire you out too much, so if you’re here, peruse around the DTLA area. Grab dinner at Bottega Louie, have a drink at Seven & Grand, or slide down the see-through slide at Skyspace.
